Find answers to common questions about using Pocket Dispatcher
Pocket Dispatcher is a modern freight matching platform that connects freight brokers with truck drivers. Brokers use the web interface to post and manage loads, while drivers use our mobile app (iOS and Android) to find loads and manage their hauls.
Brokers access Pocket Dispatcher through our web interface on any browser. Drivers download our mobile app available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play Store). Each platform is optimized for its specific user needs.
After signing in to the web interface, navigate to the "Loads" page and click "New Load". Fill in the load details including pickup/delivery locations, dates, cargo information, and equipment requirements. You can save it as a draft or publish it immediately.
Published loads appear on the Load Board where drivers can browse through our mobile app. Drivers can search and filter by location, equipment type, and dates, then apply to haul your load directly.
You'll see the application under "Awaiting Response" and in your load details. Review the driver's application and either accept or reject it. Once a driver pays for the accepted load, messaging becomes available to coordinate pickup and delivery details.
Messaging is only available after a driver has successfully paid for the load. This ensures commitment from both parties before communication begins. Once payment is complete, you can message directly through the load detail page.
Yes, you can unpublish a load to make changes. Once unpublished, you can edit all load details and then republish it when ready. Note that unpublishing removes it from the driver load board temporarily.
Use the "Awaiting Response" filter on your Loads page to see all published loads with pending driver applications that need you to accept or reject.
Download the Pocket Dispatcher mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Once logged in, browse the Load Board to see available loads. You can filter by location, equipment type, dates, and other criteria to find loads that match your needs.
In the mobile app, tap on any load to view its details. Review the pickup/delivery locations, dates, cargo information, and rate. If it's a good fit, tap "Apply" to submit your application to the broker.
The broker will review your application and either accept or reject it. You'll receive a notification of their decision. If accepted, you'll need to complete payment to secure the load before you can message the broker.
Messaging becomes available only after you've successfully paid for an accepted load. This ensures commitment from both parties. Once payment is complete, you can coordinate pickup times, delivery details, and any special instructions directly with the broker through the app.
Your mobile app shows all your loads organized by status: Applied (pending broker decision), Accepted (awaiting payment), Paid (ready to haul), In Transit, and Delivered. You can update the status as you progress through each stage.
Loads progress through these statuses: DRAFT (broker only, not visible), PUBLISHED (visible on load board), ACCEPTED (broker accepted driver application), PAYMENT COMPLETED (driver paid, messaging enabled), IN TRANSIT (load being hauled), DELIVERED (completed), and CANCELLED.
Yes, we take security seriously. All data is encrypted, payment information is processed securely, and we follow industry best practices to protect your information. You can review our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for more details.
